Linked with companies throughout projects/collaborations

We sought out companies large and small to share their experiences in collaborating with universities.  We learned that successful companies viewed higher education institutions as “stakeholders” in their businesses.

Prior to embarking on a technology transfer project, both sides need to build a foundation of shared purposes, values, and expectations as well as specific goals.  It’s important that all partners be clear about what assets they bring to the effort.    

Creating networks with industries will encourage the researchers to experience the environment while doing the research. Thus, the researcher can conduct the research in a better way. It is important to have links with industries so that both parties will get the benefits throughout the research outcomes.
